Wedding Ceremonies

I conduct non-religious wedding ceremonies including legal marriages, civil partnerships, and non-legal (symbolic) ceremonies such as vow renewals and commitment ceremonies.

Here's to love, laughter and the happily ever after!

Whether you want heartfelt, humour, high-energy, hygge or all of the above, I listen and guide you every step of the way; to make your ceremony one of the highlights of your special day, rather than just the legal bit you have to get through before the celebrations can begin!

Legal

I am legally authorised to conduct marriages in Scotland through Humanist Ceremonies Scotland.

Anyone marrying in Scotland must submit Marriage Notices (M10 forms – which each party to the marriage complete) to the Register Office local to the venue, so that the Marriage Schedule can be drawn up.

This can’t be done any sooner than 3 months before the wedding (with the deadline being 29 days before). We notify the local registrar of your intent to marry and then give the go ahead to submit the marriage notices.

Non-legal

You might be considering a non-legal (symbolic) commitment ceremony or vow renewal ceremony. So, whether you had (or are having)

  • a short, intimate legal ceremony conducted by a registrar or

  • a religious legal ceremony conducted in a place of religious worship or

  • you were (or are getting) legally married overseas or

  • you were legally married years ago and want to mark a milestone anniversary

I can help you celebrate your commitment with a bespoke, personal (non-legal) ceremony.

Fee
